EXPLORE THE GARMENT CHECKLIST
Select each topic or follow the steps.
Keep material, garment evidence, sizing, care and claims together when comparing providers.
Explore clothing criteria →Ask for the material composition and the exact sample identified in the test report. A description such as shielding fabric is not a complete specification.
Ask: What material and sample were tested, and where is the full report?
A flat sample and a wearable garment are different test objects. Do not extend sample results to a finished garment without supporting documentation.
Ask: Does the evidence cover this garment model, including the configuration used in testing?
Check dimensions, sizing and the parts of the body the garment covers. These practical details do not calculate exposure or prove a health benefit.
Ask: What are the measurements, coverage and return terms for this size?
Ask whether performance claims apply after washing and wear. Missing durability evidence is a question for the supplier, not proof that washing destroys the product.
Ask: What care is required, and is there testing after the specified wash or wear conditions?
Evidence of a physical material property does not by itself establish a health outcome for the wearer. Evaluate each advertised claim on its own evidence.
Ask: What evidence supports the exact advertised benefit of this product?
FTC: health-product evidence guidance explains why evidence must address the advertised health claim. It is not a test of shielding clothing.
