EMF distance estimator

Estimate how a reading might change at a new distance from a known measurement.

What this is — and is not

Power density (used for most RF comparisons) follows an inverse-square relationship with distance in idealized free space; field strength (V/m, µT, mG) follows an inverse-distance relationship. Real rooms are not free space: walls, reflections, multiple sources, furniture and near-field effects close to a source all change the real reading. Treat the result as a rough planning estimate, then confirm with a meter at the target distance.
